altFood Stamp (CalFresh) Challenge - Starts NOW!

Can you make a healthy meal using the Food Stamp Guidelines?

The rules are simple:

1. Spend no more on any one meal than:
          $1.48 - Breakfast
          $1.66 - Lunch
          $3.14 - Dinner
2. Keep the ingredients healthy
3. Ingredients must be an allowable purchase through CalFresh (click here for more information)

Here are the directions:

1. Make a healthy meal
2. Calculate the cost of that meal
3. Share what you learned - Please include a picture, ingredients, and the cost!
4. Challenge your friends on Facebook

Tailgate Food Giveaways
When: Sept. 4th - 9am to 12pm
Where: New Life Assembly Church, Corning CA

The event is open to any low-income Tehama County resident in need of food.
Food will be distributed while supplies last. No guarantee is made of adequate supply.
All income is self declared.

Tehama Food Share
Any 501(c)3 or faith based organization is invited to participate in Tehama Food Share, which will provide access to low cost food purchases and delivery. If interested in more information call 530-527-6159.
